“Business Drivers and Technical Features for the Modern Day Ethylene Plant Capital Project – An Overview”
The recent resurgence of capital projects related to the growth in petrochemicals production both in the US and abroad has been astounding. The past 5 years has seen virtually all US ethylene producers increase capacity either through new plant additions or expansion of existing facilities. Low cost feedstock has likewise impacted overseas plants with US ethane and propane supplies influencing production planning in China, SE Asia and Europe. This Round Table discussion will look at the petrochemicals business, especially as it relates to ethylene and propylene production. A look at key business drivers as well as a high-level glimpse at ethylene plant features and details will be provided.
