“Energy Trends in LNG: Challenges & Opportunities”
Natural gas will play a key role in the future energy mix, and LNG is becoming one of the critical applications to deliver this resource. Driving this future state requires new technical solutions and collaboration models to lower emissions and reduce total cost of ownership. This session will provide an overview of the contemporary LNG market and how technology can cope with the inherent challenges and meet future demand. Modularization, efficient drivers, smart usage of digital solutions and new commercial and contractual service partnerships will be covered.
Marco Caccavale, TPS Americas Region Leader for Baker Hughes, a GE company
Marco Caccavale is the Vice President Onshore & Offshore Production for Baker Hughes a GE company, where he leads global business line focused on Turbomachinery and Process Solutions for Upstream field development and production life cycle services.
Before his latest role, Marco was GM Downstream Products and Services and President and CEO of GE Oil and Gas for GE Africa in April 2012 where he led GE’s vast Oil and Gas business across SubSaharan Africa. Marco began his GE career in 1999 and has since held several leadership roles across the United States and Africa. In 2005, Marco became the Operations Leader based in Wisconsin USA where he led the North America operations of the GE Oil & Gas global commercial team. In 2008, he became Region General Manager for North America Turbomachinery based in Houston, Texas. Marco was born in Naples, Italy and has a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Naples.

Detailed campus maps are available on the web at http://www.rice.edu/maps/. The Ley Student Center is located in the central part of Rice campus. The Central Campus Garage, which is the closest parking facility, is located to the across the street from the Student Center.
In the possibility the underground parking is full, the second closest parking is the West Lot. Continue down the Laboratory Loop Road to the stop sign. The campus also offers a bus shuttle that runs about every 15 minutes as it loops the campus.
